Dental
Insurance is
…equally important to health insurance
Dental
insurance is equally important to health insurance because
dental disease is still prevalent. Being protected by a dental
plan and using it wisely are necessary safeguards for your
entire family. Dental insurance plans differ in the level
of reimbursement offered for certain procedures and in annual
dental spending caps. Some plans limit the waiting period
before certain dental treatments are rendered. Dental insurance
for seniors is also available.
Some
plans allow you to use your family dentist or any licensed
dentist in the U.S. Some people like that, while others like
a defined network, I offer both.
Dental
insurance is designed to cover your general dentistry needs
and in some cases with better dental plans they will cover
orthodontics and procedures that need to be done for dental
health reasons not esthetic or cosmetic reasons. Procedures
such as porcelain veneers and dental implants are commonly
referred to as elective procedures and may not be covered.
Dental insurance can come in individual, group, or family
coverage. Your needs will fit into one of these categories.
Dental insurance can help people pay for routine dental visits,
but it has many limitations. Always discuss your insurance
plan and financial obligations with either your dentist or
the office manager prior to dental treatment.
If
you’re an employer dental benefits rank very high on
employees or potential.
